About The Village.
At The Village, we believe foster and adoptive families should never walk their journey alone.
What began in 2018 with one tiny baby girl and a leap of faith has grown into a ministry serving families across Lee, Russell, Chambers, Muscogee, and Harris counties. When founders Wes and Meagan Roberts welcomed their first foster child, they quickly realized that God was calling them to do more—not just to open their home, but to open their hearts to a larger mission.
Our mission
We support foster and adoptive families with resources, community and care so every child feels seen, known and loved.
IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
Our heart
We understand the challenges that come with saying "yes" to fostering or adopting a child. The Village exists to meet those challenges head-on by providing things like clothing, emergency supplies, meals, and holiday gifts—all while surrounding families with a supportive, faith-filled community.
We are fully donor-supported, volunteer-driven, and God-led. Every bag we pack, every meal we share, and every child we support reflects the power of community and compassion.
IT TAKES A VILLAGE.
How it all began
On February 8, 2018, our lives were forever changed when we welcomed our first foster child—a tiny baby girl—into our home. At the time, we were a one-income family with two children of our own, but we knew without a doubt that this was the path God had called us to walk
As we stepped into the world of foster care, we quickly realized God was calling us to more—not just to foster, but to support other families on this journey too.
One day, God placed a clear vision on my heart: open a store where foster families could get the essentials they need, completely free of charge. I laughed at first—how could we possibly make that happen? But God reminded me: you may not have the means, but I do.
So, in obedience and faith, we opened The Village. Since day one, God has provided everything we’ve needed to serve others. We are simply honored to play a small role in the bigger story He is writing.
Looking back, we never could have imagined what He had in store for us. We could have let fear hold us back—but instead, He’s shown us again and again that He just needs us to move when He says “move.”

Half of foster parents quit in year one — we’re here to change that.
